He's my favourite player I got his pencil case and evrything and it's got a pencil sharpener in it

Don't know how I stopped myself from going for the Jo option! Timmy though really felt like Mr Everton to me as he gave us younger Evertonians some hope after some darker days. Bleeds blue and really "got it." Baines however a second for me and possibly would be in the same category had this poll been in a few years time and he was still with us imho. (y)

Cahill. Easy.
Incredible workrate. Made a career out of exceeding expectations. Tireless worker, bled blue. Served the club and loved the club. Years of service, no scandals I can recall short of his last moment on the pitch, and even that was sticking up for his blue family. Opened up a new continent of fans.

And he also provided us with memorable moments. Boxing the flag after each goal. And even the most memorable Everton goal I've seen - his 89th minute bicycle kick at Stamford Bridge.

Hope he manages to play his heart out for NYRB too. The American fans will fall in love with him if they see a fraction of the man we saw during his career as a blue.

Li Tie.

Absolutely no legislation. My favorite player who was boss mc boss.

Reading that back it almost looks like a joke entry like the Drenthe (oh how we laughed) joke entries.

Li Tie WAS boss. He ruled the midfield and owned the slide rule pass. The season we finished 7 th he was ever present. I loved his white boots, I loved his big hair. Li Tie. Evertonians salute you.

In terms of passion and livewire play, lacking on the technical side, i'm torn between Dunc and Cahill. Dunc's my childhood hero, like, Timmy for the teens, but as far as these days go i'm gonna vote Bainesy. I just love his modesty, how he's a pro at everything, complete no bull**** player, just look how he handles himself on the field - honest, decent, brilliant technically, lets his feet do the talking.
Throughout these last years he's been responsible for winning us a few games single-handedly. Played every minute, defending has been getting better and better, and turning grimy looking seasons into much better ones.

Remember the first game we won in 10/11, against Birmingham? Timmy scored, but Baines was the one who pushed on and got that cross in. Pretty much instrumental, too, in our games against Chelsea recently, especially the one that went to penalties in the FA cup. Admittedly not the superbly angry fighting-spirit Evertonian, what he lacks in passion he makes up for in being a most competent servant, a big cog in a no-bull**** working class head-down-and-get-on-with-it-machinery. And that kind of **** makes me jizzzzzzzz
