Wasn't thousands going to the game on bikes part of Bill's travel plan for Kirkby? If it's good enough for Bill it's good enough for the rest of us proles!

So many already mentioned, however two episodes that highlight what a rank amateur he is.

Sending Manny Fernandes away with a 'a handshake' only to see him unveiled as a Valencia player the next day.

Naive in the extreme.

To follow that up with agreeing a contract with Dan Gosling, another handshake.... And then act offended when he signs for Newcastle.

Not saying Gosling was a star, but we missed out on a fee when times were tight.
