He has far too much respect for the ****e to come here

yeah, he would turn us down in public as well, just for a laugh, he was asked about the everton job, Rafael replied with one word
"who"

He does not suit us, he too much of a rs who wants Rodgers job.

Well, if he did come, it might ruin the RS fond memories of him, similar to Michael Owen going to Man u.

Still, maybe the press has got it wrong, maybe its benitez to Man u? He's got more european experience than Moyes...

if he did come to us and done well, he would **** off as soon as the rs came calling as well, he hates us, we hate him. Lets not do a Chelsea.

Rafael seemed to dislike Chelsea more than Everton and it didn't stop him going there.
I can't see it happening ,but he is a successful manager, has a history of winning cups ,knows the premiership and lives in Liverpool.

Of course, there was no way I could see Utd appoint David Moyes either, that has me stunned still.

This is all I will say in regards to Rafael

Looking at it purely from his management acheivements, he would be by no means the worst appointment. Here is a man who has reached two Champions League Finals and has also reached another European final while under tough conditions at Chelsea.

Based purely on what he's acheived, he would be a good manager

The problem is that our fan base at large would never accept him. Rafael himself would not be gracious in the role. He would come in and wouldn't cowtail to the Everton support. He'd come in and be like "I'm a good manager, let's get on with it". As the Chelsea situation ahs shown, Rafael is Rafael. He doesn't believe in diplomacy. And, to be fair to him, why should he? The man gets results, as this Chelsea run has shown. He's had them in two cup semi finals and has got them to the Europa League Final.

I remember when the topic of Rafael came up on here about a month ago. the general consensous was "We hate him and we have too much pride to accept him, even if he won things"

It's a bad idea all round. I, for one, would be willing to give him a chance. But I think I am very much in the minority. What would need to happen would be for Rafael to come in and say "Look, we had some problems in the past but I'm managing here now. Sorry about some of the crap I've said, let's just get on with it". Then our fans would need to say "Fair enough, we'll give you a chance, show us what you can do"

Instead it will be "Look I'm managing here now, let's get on with it", "Sod off you Fat Spannish Waiter", Rafael leaves soon after

lets be honest its not going to happen, but for arguments sake, if he came and won a few cups/qualified for the champions league and said something derogatary about the RS...hahaha....

not going to happen though.

He's going to spend next season loitering outside Melwood making Rodgers feel uncomfortable...

Benitez is a top level manager, we have just lost one to the planets biggest club, we need to bring someone in who can handle the pressure of managing Everton a massive job in this country. The profile and expectancy has been raised dramatically from where we were when Moyes was appointed and now an appointment from the Championship would be a potential disaster. If not Benitez, I think Laudrup may well be able to handle the job.

I´d have him. He´s a good manager. Liverpool have been worse off since he left. But he´ll never take a club without spending power.

Pre everton chelsea interview where benitez was asked about everton..
