Certainly at least to the ChristmasHe deserved another season for sure,it would have been interesting to see what he could have done at a club like Everton.
He’s surely past his sell by date now though. Mind you so was Hodgson.

And look where we are now.Allardyce's downfall was that he had us safe well before the end of the season but still chose to serve up that mind numbing football rather than being more expansive. He had the opportunity to show us what a full season under him might look like, and in spite of the short memories on here, he showed us we'd be watching abysmal football every single weekend hence us wanting him out.
Just because we're in a worse position now doesn't mean that was good, I'd rather be relegated than watch us playing like that long term. We're not Bolton or Burnley. And look where we are now.

That guy is a baller. No idea how we ended up with McNeil instead of him.We had Matieus Periera, better than anything Leeds have
Yes he was desperate to get back to playing in England this season, wasted out thereThat guy is a baller. No idea how we ended up with McNeil instead of him.
He took us as far as we were ever going to go with him - 8th. He showed no ambition to go any further by adapting the brand of football that he espouses.I fear that we might regret hounding him out for finishing 8th.
We as fans have at times had ludicrously high expectations of players and managers alike.
Such a baller that he took Saudi blood money and is now on loan in the UAE instead of trying to get WBA upThat guy is a baller. No idea how we ended up with McNeil instead of him.
Totally agree. He took us as far as we were ever going to go with him - 8th. He showed no ambition to go any further by adapting the brand of football that he espouses.
He did his job keeping us up and got paid off, that's it. No regrets whatsoever.
Ah, chatting wham in this thread now are we?That guy is a baller. No idea how we ended up with McNeil instead of him.
