I'm not sure why people are surprised he's quite a reserved character; honestly how many owners do you hear from in the media? Like you never read anything said by Sunderland's owner or Swansea or Stoke's owners etc. do you. The opposite is David Sullivan and we do not want that.
Going about it nicely for me. Especially considering the absolute mess he inherited. Not a shabby 100+ days at all.

Thanks, a very interesting post.

There's very little coming out of official channels currently and that's causing the professional journalists a bit of a problem. Because Everton have not been "headline material" for many years, there's a lack of depth in relationships between the press and people connected with Everton. Yet the journalist know there's something brewing in L4 but are finding it difficult to keep up with events.

Thus "unofficial" relationships and contacts are leading the story here, and the press follow on behind.

I doubt very much that Moshiri will formally make much more public, he'll be happier doing rather than talking. Over time and with better press facing personnel/PR the situation will change and the narrative will be driven through usual channels.

In the meantime we should as a club continue to shock those that use conventional media for their information and news.

Yet again I am left with something brewing in my shorts.

@The Esk I know just before Martinez was sacked you started mentioning a lot of things about what Moshiri was starting to do behind the scenes and how we will be a totally different animal in the coming months and years. I've noticed now a few journalists pick up on this ( Phil McNulty mentioned it immediately at the end of the season when alluding to the fact that Moshiri had high aims for targeting managers ) and the Telegraph article a couple of days ago was singing from the same hymn sheet.

I just wondered if a few people within the media are getting told snippets as yourself and to just release things slowly and also do you think Moshiri will be the type to come out ( let's say when Koeman gets confirmed and maybe the DoF or stadium plans ) and address the fans and press with his plans/decisions or do you think he will be the quiet type?

Not that it means anything of course in the grand scheme of things but it's been really interesting reading what you have said before Martinez was rightly sacked and how things are unfolding, such as you were adamant Koeman was his first choice and I remember thinking he must be 4th or 5th choice.

Things are changing, the media are picking up on some things but there's still so much to be answered.

Apologies for the long post lol

@The Esk Moshiri has a history of making written statements - when he has something to say.

Rather than being someone to jump in front of a camera.

I foresee this continuing as it gives him total control over what he's trying to convey.

If it's important that's the route he will use to address the fans.

I think it a breath of fresh air from Bill Kenwright who jumped in front of a camera every chance he got.

If you also look at what Kenwright said it's also his tactic to use it to deflect/distract. Often his statements look really disingenuous too.

Moshiri on the other hand can sit behind the written statement wall. Then project what he wants to. At will.

Some on here won't be happy with this. Based on years of attention seeker Kenwright speaking to camera. But reality is its the best way Moshiri can manage a football club at his level - ownership.

Let the underlings give authorised press comments. MOSHIRI doesn't need to.

Fascinating insight thanks @The Esk

Well, let's be a little fair to Bill. He's a showman, always has been, always will be...a raving Thespian if you like! It's his role in life outside the club as well. In order to succeed, you have to stand out. Personally, I'd love it if Everton reflected Moshiri's style & played our hand close to our chest! Let the Media peck on any scraps they can find but we'll always know that the written media release from Everton will be the truth.

I don't question Bill's loyalty & love of the team, just his ability to be the front man. With that in mind, it would be the total opposite of Moshiri's style & I can't see him lasting. Moshiri must cringe at every speech Bill gives, just waiting for the slip of the tongue that one must expect from Bill.

It's becoming patently clear that Moshiri doesn't intend playing the role of media darling. He is a businessman first and foremost, has ambitions and is putting together a strong team with the appropriate business and sporting acumen which will see this wonderful, amazing, magical club that we love so dearly return to the heights it once took for granted. I think he will respectfully leave Blue Bill to do the front of stage act as an acknowledgement of his past associations - let the guy have his moment in the spotlight but without the added pressure of stewardship (noticeably he seems to have shedded years in the past few months) - whilst he keeps a firm grip of the reins and drives the club forward. To borrow a gospel song....'Oh, Happy Days!'

HI Esk...

Dont take this the wrong way, but do you think there is a chance the club are using these unofficial sources to over hype the situation, with a view to driving up season ticket sales. it wouldnt be the first time we have been dangled the carrot of a bright new dawn.
