Thought WRD posted that Moshiri was going to bring on board wealthy business associates who would not necessarily invest.

He posted that on Tuesday, so I think it's safe to assume that his source has told him the Usmanov stuff after he posted that.

if Usmanov had any interest in moving away from Arsenal to Everton then he/they would have arranged the disposal of their Arsenal shares at the same time and jointly acquired Everton shares.
Hypothetically there could be a significant financial incentive to a phased buy out with Moshiri moving first in that if the 'richest man in Russia' decided to buy Everton directly the share price would elevate accordingly. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part but I'm not ruling out Usmanov moving in when the 75% acquisition is complete. I think Usmanov being part of the Everton ownership, at some point in the future, seems more plausible than José becoming Everton manager this summer.

Appreciate what Esk is saying re Usmanov but he's failed to factor in one key thing, this cunning, foolproof letter which I've posted to Usmanov under the guise of being Kroenke.

Dear Alisher

You're a frumpy Uzbek melt and I'm never going to let you on the board or listen to your opinion, jog on and join your mate at Everton.

Just been musing over the entire situation mate.

Question for you, or more of a hypothetical scenario maybe

Say Moshiri togetehr with Usmanov had finally both had enough of Arsenal, they want full control of a premiership club - which has a bit of oomph about its history and with potential to be so much bigger than it currently is... Problem is they own shares in Arsenal - if they just cut and run from their at the same time - 2 things would happen, they would be seen as 'having' to sell their stake in Arsenal in order to move onto a purchase of another club, which would pretty much be a certainty to drive down the price they could recieve for their Arsenal shares, additionally any deal involving Usmanov buying a club would IMO anyway see the asking price doubled - just due to the wealth he has.

Would a possible scenario see one of them moving first - giving them a lot more leeway in terms of disposing of their Arsenal interests, whilst not missing out on their target (ie us), moshiri starts the process of complete ownership, starts to restructure the club from the top down, starts the stadium ball rolling and starts the increase in funding, Usmanov then disposes of his stake in Arsenal in his own time, and moves into a partnership like they had at R and W holdings again, and then becomes the face of the new owners - chairmen etc

Additionally it would carry the added bonus (for them) of us as a fanbase not falling off our chairs and wanting everything right now, Moshiri is wealthy but no sheikh for example, so we will give him more time to restructure without the expectation of throwing a gazillion quid at the situation, 6 months down the line ofc, a lot of the restructuring will already have been done, new manger in place, first wave of investment already completed, then the big hitter arrives and changes the game?

All speculation, but as a overall plan - they'd give themselves time to get the best price for Arsenal shares, give themelves the best chance of buying us at the lowest possible price, and both manage to fullfill their long time dream of co-owning a top football team in this country, with both having a voice and Usmanov in charge?
The scenario you've posted makes logical sense to me and it wouldn't surprise me if it did happen. However it doesn't necessarily follow that it's correct. Personally I'm more than happy with just Moshiri on his own and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

I like the cunning cut of your jib, sir!

There may just be the possibility of fcuk you. RWH could well be pissed off with their impotence in being able to persue an active influence upon the future of Arsenal.
Well how would any of us react if we were lucky enough to be in this position financially?
I for one would do all I could to embarrass Kroenke in the football world, and i'm not referring to stock market values.

I'm more than happy with having Moshiri on board.......I do however believe that he will bring others to invest.......

With all due respect to everybody, Moshiri circulates in such a rarefied atmosphere that no fan or fan base will get anywhere near himself, his friends or acquaintances.

Im minded that he has also come to terms with the fact that Kenwright is a one trick pony, busted flush, call him what you want and that once his and Jon Woods remaining shares are hoovered up by Moshiri and co that those two will swiftly be consigned back to the boys pen.

I seriously doubt that less than two dozen people are party to his plans and this figure will include the captains of industry he and his advisors he is currently in contact with.

Its healthy and good fun to speculate but thats probably all it is.

Its easy to imagine Usmanov getting so dismayed by Kroenkes reluctance to open his house to him that he sells up and joins Moshiri.

I classify that scenario as logical speculation.

But to suggest the ordinary fans like ourselves are party to Moshiri and his advisors is also probably fanciful speculation also.

Regards

Bonzo
