Plenty of sticks to beat Moshiri with but lack of investment is not one of them.
If by 'fattening the calf' you mean give us a new stadium, who cares if he sells afterwards?!
Well he hasn't invested has he?
We are just using his know how to secure preferential loans to build the stadium (better than nothing I agree) but he has also made a number of blunders such that I would not want him to be making This next key decision
And by fattening The calf I mean he has already cost us £100m through his poor recruitment drive, and will probably be taking out a similar figure when he sells six months after the ground is built

How has he cost us £100m Kev? It's his money! He owns us, pretty much.
And who is paying for the architect? the developers? who has struck the deal with Peel? Who paid for that deal?
Who is paying for the solicitors?
These are all things that, under the previous regime where we were paying a huge percentage of every pound, just couldnt afford.
Were the shares that he bought free? Because by buying them he in literally investing him the club.

Did he hire well in Koeman? No but there is a risk with every appointment.

Has he / is he investing money? Without any doubt.

I don't agree the structure of the club is more secure. We have failed his next phase which was to improve the playing staff. This was Koemans fault. A strong manager who was interested would've held his ground. He wasn't.
We will now see him change the management (not team related) personnel I think and I support that

Does anyone actually trust Moshiri to carry out a root and branch review of the club?

Not seen anything to suggest he isn’t part of the problem
Haha it was a fluke he became a multi millionaire then

Becoming a billionaire accountant through an investment vehicle qualifies you to run a football club about as much as having a PhD in marine biology qualifies you to build a submarine. The footballing world is full of clubs destroyed by billionaires.

Rumour has it that he's a member of this forum @Groucho

It's amazing that Bill is getting all the blame for this given the following
Moshiri appointed Koeman
Moshiri decided we had to split responsibility for transfers
Moshiri has no judgment ((Jim White)
Moshiri isn't going to be investing in Everton at all, just fattening the calf before the big sell off

Hopefully he is feeling shamefaced enough to keep a low profile and let Bill right the ship cos if we allow this idiot to make one more crass move or lose another hundred million we will be relegated
I'm not a bill fan but it's hard to argue with that.

I hop Moshiri hurries up and builds the stadium so they can all sell up and we can move on.

I will still only believe the stadium is a goer once the diggers move it.

Blame Bill for the bad.
Praise Moshiri for the good.

It's the unwritten rules isn't it?!

maybe because for the time billy has been here nothing good has ever come of it

whereas moshiri I think is a bad chump going off his jim white interviews is at least showing he is proactive in regards to having the right manager ( we'll see on the next I suppose ) and did back the club over the summer with funds, and the stadium site acquired which is some news ( again see how that pans out )

You do realize the club makes a ton of money.

It is self funding. Even the extra money given to transfers can be accounted by the increase in TV money.

Believe what you want but there's plenty of doubt whether he has invested in us.

Buying shares isn't investing in the club. It is an investment sure but the club see none of it.

Hmm.

Jury is still out on Moshiri for me.

Actions > Words.

You could even argue we made bigger, more significant signings under Kenwright (Lukaku, Fellaini, Johnson, Yakubu), we put up more resilience when clubs come for our top players...

You could even look at average league position since Moshiri come in.

I can understand the results on the poll in this thread.

Not saying I'd sooner Kenwright, but it's silly the tendency to continue to pin blame on him now - it's Moshiri's trainset now.

Not really, moshiri ultimately has been willing to allow Bill to stay in a position of massive influence, as such the bad cones on his shoulders also.

How do we know how much influence he has?

I also think you made the conclusive point by saying "Moshiri ultimately..."

Moshiri's trainset now.
