Spanish-themed family fun planned for 14 September.

Goodison Park will play host to a footballing fiesta for the forthcoming visit of Chelsea.

The summer may be drawing to a close, but with seven new arrivals during the transfer window thanks to our Spanish manager Roberto Martinez, it seemed fitting that Goodison should adopt a festival theme for our second home fixture of the new Premier League campaign.

The Blues boss’ home nation will provide the inspiration for a series of events aimed at making our mouth-watering contest with Jose Mourinho's Chelsea an even more memorable occasion for all the family.

A Fan Fiesta will take place before the match (which kicks-off at 5.30pm), with special entertainment getting underway from 3.30pm at select locations around the stadium.

Spanish-inspired entertainment will be present all around the ground and will include a special playlist of tracks in the Fan Zone selected by fans via the Club's official social networking platforms.

Paella and other special Spanish treats will be available in the Park End Fan Zone and throughout the Club's hospitality lounges.

There will be lots of giveaways for younger fans to take advantage of, including Everton-branded hand-clappers.

And fans can get involved in the run up to the game, with competitions and quizzes running all next week on the Club's Twitter and Facebook pages.

Matchgoers will also be able to upload their matchday photos, with the best fan photo being selected by the manager, who will then sign a special prize to the winner.

Keep an eye out on evertonfc.com in the week leading up to the match for more Spanish-themed output and links to special video clips on evertontv and our new official YouTube channel.

Hope they're selling Tapas, love Spanish food!(y)

Nice to see the club making an effort to make the match a better environment for kids.

I don't agree with those hand clapper things mind, don't think they contribute well towards an atmosphere. However, at least we're making an effort to get more kids going the match.

Would like to see a reduction in ticket prices across the league. That would be a good incentive to get parents taking their kids with them.

Cant see any harm in it TBH. Didnt they do something similar at the first home match, bouncy castles and the like?

If we need things like this to get the next generation hooked were clearly doing something wrong on the pitch.

Start winning our home games would be a better way.

paella at the match haha.
