My MOTM today as well, thing that impressed me was his awareness when under pressure, some very clever passes got us out of tight spots. Just worried about him getting injured when we don't have Gbamin to come in.

I think he will improve with regular game time and hope he really makes his mark with us, he was the engine for Villa and they dropped like a stone when Citeh nabbed him.

No disrespect fella but I hate stats , I prefer to make a judgement based on what I see.

And based on what I saw today I thought Delph was very good exactly what we've needed in midfield. Mobile , tenacous and intelligent use of the ball.

Stats are useful to back up a judgement, or disprove a judgement. They're just numbers

Delph played well today. He was our best passer (anyone watching could say that) and the stats back that up.

But they're a useful tool to help. They shouldn't be used exclusively, but honestly saying you 'hate stats' is just saying you hate numbers.

Two months younger than Gueye, so to get him for a quarter of the price we sold him to PSG for is very good business.

Doesn’t have Gueye’s ability to hunt the ball down so much, but his positioning, calmness under pressure, passing all above.

Hopefully he can stay fit and form a very good partnership with Gomes
