Confirmed Signing Fabian Delph

Like his character, interested to see how Silva uses him. Can’t see anything but partner for Gomes (and he’s getting nowhere near left back). Still suggests to me that Gana is off, but hopefully not.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I couldn't see it anyway and its a decent read:

The quality is clear: this is a central midfielder who started 21 games at left-back for one of the greatest champions in Premier League history. And the memory of Delph holding his own against Guardiola, Kompany and Toure leaves no doubt as to what he can bring to Everton’s dressing room. They had better be ready to concentrate on the basics of football.

Following his departure, Guardiola shared nothing but classy words for the England international, as he wished him all the best at a 'big club like Everton'.

“It was an incredible three years for us,” Guardiola told City's official website."Personally, he helped me a lot and helped us a lot, especially two seasons ago when we won the league with him playing in a position that he isn’t used to.

“Normally he is a midfield player, but he played full-back and everyone here, all the club, all the staff, all his mates wish him all the best in a big club like Everton.”
