FA Cup v Imps

I am already embarrassed by how the lincs fans will be singing "is this a library" and " your support is f******** s***"

All of a sudden we find ourselves under pressure here. Its a no win situation here. We are expected to go out and win 3-0 or 3-1 whatever. On our current form I'd just take a victory and get through. I can see LOADS of Prem teams rotating and some will come unstuck. Chelsea and Tottenham have a cup semi next Tuesday. The Red S have champions league and a league scrap, I can see them sacrificing the cup. We must beat Lincoln Saturday

Games like this are the worst, no one is up for it unless we are losing then we just turn ugly and moan.

atmosphere is grim atm, sure I seen someone else say it in here it only takes like a hard tackle, couple of them getting stuck in the crowd instantly gets in the mood

it's just SO hard to get up for it atm, just overpaid wannkers jogging round the pitch shirking out of challenges

Add to that, you normally find that at games such as this you'll usually find the demographics slightly change because of numerous STH not taking up their seat.

It's cheaper to come to a cup game than it is a PL game so while it's great to see more families coming to the game, it does subdue the atmosphere even further.

They'll be bringing a massive contingent (they got more tickets this week which shows our interest) and up for a day out, so I expect them to be in full force.

It's our job to put a few past them early on to dampen their spirits and hopefully lift our crowd: if we're doing well, then the atmosphere should pick up.

The 'odd few' hahaha think you may have missed a trick only giving us the 5.5k ...lots of us in LB4/5
In all seriousness and without wanting to be antagonistic, we've given you a fair percentage already of tickets compared to the overall gate and usual precedent.

While I also have no real issue with fans attempting to sit in the home end either, I just hope that your fans are respectful as I am not sure how it will be perceived.

For example, I saw one of your fans had bought eight tickets in the Street End and the consensus from many fans on Tuesday was, "That won't end well".

I hope you all have a great day out, obviously not enjoying it too much of course, and that a certain level of respect is given by both sets of fans.

I think this will probably be families instead of groups of young men. Can’t see any problems unlike the dirty Mancs attacking defensless blues at City in the semi final.

I'm not desiring or expecting trouble, far from it, but I have felt a sense of entitlement from some of the posts I've seen on here and Twitter - I hope I'm wrong.

I've spent many times in home ends watching the Blues, yet I've always kept my head down and shown respect. Well, apart from the shed across the park.

It shouldn't be an issue at all but with how we're playing, if we concede early and a large contingent of fans pipe up then I'm not sure how it will be taken by some.

All I'm saying is that a little bit of respect from both sides wouldn't go amiss; moaning that the allocation isn't enough and brazenly declaring we've got x-tickets...

... well, that doesn't really imply that (no pun intended). I hope I'm wrong to be fair and genuinely wish the Imps have a great day out apart from the result.

There will be cup upsets - let's hope this is not one of them. If the game is going badly, let our management know you are not happy.

There is a difference between abusing away fans and physically attacking them. There is simply no excuse for violence towards Lincoln supporters.

If anyone wants to offset the Saturday pain, you can get 18/1 for Lincoln to win in 90 mins. 10/1 for them to qualify.

Can’t bet against the blues myself, but that’s a great price, considering we’ll likely rest a load of players, are in shockingly bad form and Lincoln having a good season.

Every player should have been called into the Manager's office after the last two games and their roll at the club explained to them. Silva should be telling everyone of them that if they do not do what is asked of them then he will find someone who will. Coleman has been dropped and Walcott should follow to show he means business.

A couple of weeks ago we were talking about top six now we are concerned about a home game against Lincoln City. If our lot were on preformance pay some of them would owe the club money.

Very true, the more family's the quieter it is. Low league opposition and early round of FA cup just make for flat atmos.

After a run of bad form I'd like to be able to say we should put out a strong team to make sure we get through this one comfortably but do we have a strong team to put out? Fringe players will have something to play for if they are given a chance on Saturday.

My team would be:

Stek (Pickford desparately needs a rest)
Kenny (did OK against Leicester)
Keane (Playing a League One team is his level)
Zouma (He's on loan as a back up so FA Cup is what he's here for)
Baines (As long as they don't have a speedy right winger)
Davies (Should be in League One so he'll enjoy it)
Lookman (Give the lad a chance to shine)
Bernard (Still needs more game time)
Gomes (Still needs more game time)
Gueye (Hopefully help get us a clean sheet)
Naisse (He'll either be awful or grab a hattrick)

Then if we have the likes of Tosun, Walcott, Richarlison, DCL, Digne, Mina, Sigs on the bench we can change things 2nd half to come back from 2-0 down to win the game.
