Those stats don´t tell the story of Digne´s first 30 games this season where he was extremely poor. If Tierney gets a full season under his belt he´ll be considered a very good Premier League full back.
Just going of those 30 he'd still be better in all aspects of the game than Tierney seeing as the kid wasn't even worthy of a game (hence 15 games total).

Bizarre argument.

Think Tierney has been injured all season. As I said, stats aren´t everything. If they were Pienaar would have been a complete failure for us.

dont know mate. What happened when Utd won it?

It was 5 + 2... but that year the two cup winners were from the top four so a bit different. Originally when they let the Europa winner into the Champions League UEFA said you couldn’t get more than seven teams in Europe, maybe that’s changed since then.

Digne - 70 games, 11 assists, 4 goals
Tierney - 15 games, 1 assist, 1 goal

Digne big chances created - 21
Tierney big chances created - 1

Digne tackle success - 66%
Tierney tackle success - 80%

Digne cross accuracy - 28%
Tierney cross accuracy - 18%

Ermmmmmmmm... Open your eyes pal.
And what is the most important stat there for a DEFENDER? Yes, that’s correct, the category won by Tierney.
Don’t get me wrong, I rate Digne, but he is small for a defender. I could see him in a wingback role, something backed up by the other stats you showed. But as an out and out defender, I think he is lacking.

So you think a 12% difference in tackling success is more important than an extra 20 less big chances created, 11 assists and 3 goals?

Ok.

Wonder TAA and Robertsons tackle % are. If I could be arsed I'd look but I imagine similar to Digne.

Erm no mate, the modern fullback is basically a pound land winger and the majority of them are bought due to how well they attack.

The only recent example of 1 going for good money who cant attack is Wan Bissaka at United, every other 1 has been an attacking fullback.

Fine, you disagree. We had Baines and Coleman along with Jags (not big for a cb) for years and it was no wonder we were top of the ‘goals conceded from corners’ stats. Smallest pair of full backs in the league. The defensive height issues have been addressed somewhat by the signings of Keane and Mina. But if you think defending is overrated, ok.

Defending isn't overrated, but ask yourself, when Baines retired, did Everton tweet his tackle percentage over his career or how many goals and assists he had?

Lahm, Roberto Carlos, Cafu were all small for a defender and were the best in the game.

Then there's a man like Maldini.

Now you’re talking.

Today was yet another game ruined by the referee and VAR - absolute shambles from both on numerous occasions, but no consequences for poor performances.

If VAR isnt going to get sorted out it should just be binned - I can just about cope with the Garbo refs bollocksing the game up every week, but to have to watch the corrupt crap from stockley park, match after match, week after week again next season will put me right in the nut house.

Chelsea’s bench is strong.
Considering their signings already, they could do very well next season.

Good to win, rubbish to be watching it at home with no fan in sight.
Riding our luck plus Aubameyang's deadly instinct plus finally some guts in an Arsenal team, won that last night.

But Chelsea's squad will be the scariest in attack with Ziyech, Werner and Havwrtz joining an already very good attack.

If Frank could be bothered to buy a defender I'd put them in the top 2 next season. Imagine that side with a Koulibally.
