Drogba sent off for simulation and dissent. Cahill and Fellaini with the goals.

Personally, id go with a team like this:

Howard

Hibbert - Yobo - Lescott - Baines

Osman - Neville - Rodwell - Pienaar

Fellaini

Cahill​

That, or play Vaughan instead of Rodwell and put Cahill in midfield. As i think Saha is USELESS. Maybe Jacobsen in for Hibbert too...still undecided on that...

Anyway, going with that formation would be good i think. We have abit more defence, with Rodwell and Neville - to contain Essien and Lampard, and Sticking Cahill and Fellaini upfront worked for us in the past, and i think it would be better than playing Saha up there.

If I'm being honest, I'm not even thinking about a result or predictions. Makes me ill thinking of it.

We’re the underdogs but as we all know anything can happen. The lads just better run themselves into the ground and kick the living daylights out of them to a point that the team need 3 months off just to recover.

It's going to be a big task, needing one hell of a performance. We can do it on our day, but it just needs to be our day.

Very few times have I wanted Everton to win a game as much as this one. COYB.

Mmm, first thing, could Hibbert handle Malouda? We saw how he was against Ashley Young, and Malouda could rip him like that quite easily.

Also Neville - Cahill to defend against Lampard and Essien? I wouldnt think Cahill could handle that tbh.

Ashley Young is a right footer who cuts inside, Hibbert usually does struggle against this type of winger. Malouda is a left footer, Hibbert usually bosses left footers. I'd back him to be honest.

Neville and Cahill are both better defensively than Rodwell and Castillo, who both lack positional sense. The balance is as good as it's been since Arteta got injured, why change it?

The good thing about Cahill playing central midfield is he gets forward and joins in, he moves around the park and gets in peoples faces. Having Rodwell and Neville in there, two deep lying midfielders just means we'll end up playing deep and sitting off Chelsea. Letting the likes of Lampard, Ballack and Essien play.

And Fellaini and Cahill for me is just playing into Chelsea’s hands, we’ll just end up bypassing the midfield and hitting it long. Don’t forget, there’s no Arteta in there making us play. We used that exact formation and personnel against Boro and they bossed the game for 45 minutes until Cahill dropped back and Saha played upfront.

Cahill has to play in centre mid. We'll definitely lose otherwise. He's the only one of our centre mid options that can get on the ball and run forwards with it. He adds impetus.
