Has a Sam Allardyce team ever won a cup game? I remember even when he had a good team at Bolton he played 11 reserves and got knocked out of both domestic cups asap.

Got to the League Cup final (losing to Boro) and three cup semis if I remember correctly. I think 2 were in the same season when Bolton were in the Championship.

I'm sure you're right, but I could have sworn I remember him being interviewed about how he got knocked out early doors every year and basically saying the cups didn't matter.

They didnt matter to most of the clubs he's been at though.
He's at a proper club now.
He knows this.

As I live in Wigan and go to their home games I will have Wigan at home (that is if they win the replay against AFC Fylde).

Wouldn't it be boss if just for once we got the following

The rs away to City
Utd away to Arsenal
Chelsea away to Spurs
Everton home to whoever is the crappest side in the competition
Not to crap, knowing us we'd get done over by some minnows who'd be treating it like a cup final! We'd be best off with a championship strugglers side like Sunderland or Bolton at home.

..I think he got to an FA Cup Final, not sure though.

Struggling to think who with. He got to the Freight Rover final as a player at Bolton, but not sure he played, but he was in the squad. (Moyes played for Bristol City; that must be a first!)

Hopefully people around the club will be having words in his ears. If we're still down in the relegation mix by then I think you can take it as written that the FA cup will be taking a back shelf. If we're sitting mid table or better, I'd like to think Allardyce gave it a go for a change. In fairness to him, his teams are usually down at the bottom end.

Does anybody know how he approached the cup whilst he was at West Ham?

Rehearsal draw threw up an interesting one.
