Definitely, it's becoming more present in many sports. My issue is that apparent blatant manner in which the F1 and the FIA go about it, to a point of being a farce.
Without wanting to get carried away by today's result, it feels as if they're clearly and openly subjective, putting two fingers up to the other teams and fans.
If we took someone who wasn't familiar with F1 and provided them with the rule book, the precedents and major decisions over the past two or three seasons...
What would their view be on the decisions made? If you gave them options of objective, potential unconscious bias and clear subjectivity, what would they choose?
I think most level-headed fans know where it'd be leaning towards. All the fans want is a race and season with a semblance of fairness and transparency.
Make the rules clear and stick to them regardless of the team. If you're looking at a decision, follow the precedent in terms of timing and punishment.
