I hope Max tries a daring overtake and Bottas holds the lines and they end up going off, just for the giggles. Karma and all that.

Verstappen starts on the clean side of the track, so he honestly should do Bottas fairly easily at the start. If Bottas miraculously does something useful, then he should 100% be shunting Verstappen off at the turn.

But it's Bottas.

Oh wait, Bottas starts 5th?

Nevermind, even he can't be that crap. Yeah Verstappen will have a slipstream but bloody hell he has one job; keep his car in front of Verstappen up the straight into the first corner. It's not hard; a pensioner could do it.

I can hear Horner's drivel already.
Like clockwork from the tosser.

Red Bull principal, Christian Horner, speaking on Sky Sports and reacting to Verstappen's grid penalty: "We are really struggling to understand it - because it looks just a complete balls up. The FIA have effectively said play on.

"The circuit is safe, it's clear, Max was at the beginning, he was in the first sector so we had so much time to look at it and you know the dash, everything for him has indicated - otherwise we would have informed him but unfortunately there is a yellow flag and he just did not see it.

"He saw the white one, he saw the car and saw a green light on the right hand side. I think it is a rogue marshal that has stuck a flag out and he has not been instructed to by the FIA and they have got to have control over their marshals, it is as simple as that, because that's a crucial blow in this world championship for us - now we start P7 at a track we can't overtake at and that is massive.

"We won't appeal - it will be a waste of time."

I do actually feel sorry for Verstappen there. It's along the same lines of Hamilton's penalty in Italy last year when he's basically got a few seconds to make a decision.

But this is surely the slice of luck that Hamilton has been hoping for all year. He hasn't had a straightforward win all season and surely feels that he is due one.

I'm not going to lie, I had no intention of watching Everton today for that very reason.

I'll just check the news later to see how many we got bummed by and what time Palmer scored on his full debut.

Easier on the blood pressure than watching the horrible twunts.
