That was a brilliant race
Hamilton doing what Hamilton does - win races when the going is tough.

Merc popcorning RB by pitting Bottas to get the fastest lap and another point off of Max.
I think Max blew that tbh. Should have closed the gap quicker, he didn't have to care for the tires as Lewis had older tires. He should have overtaken him about 5 laps earlier.
Plus his lack of composure on the eventual overtake.

When he lit the tyres up after letting Lewis pass was probably what costed him.

He was closing the gap at a measured pace to make sure he still had enough tyres left to make the pass. I think he judged it well. Shame one of them had to finish second.
But I think this race demonstrates Max's maturity now. He drove very well and even when ordered to give the place back kept his composure. Wasn't his day today but he demonstrated that he's becoming the complete package.

Nobody else on the grid could have delivered what Hamilton did today. He basically stole the win in a slower car.
Ross Brawn said the reason why Schumacher was so special was because he would always win the races he should have when the car is the fastest... and then sometimes he would manage to win a race that he shouldn't have. Hamilton now does exactly the same thing on a regular basis.

Think that goes back to the conversation earlier in the week about whether Vettel was in that top bracket of drivers. Its that ability to perform beyond the cars estimated capabilities.
