Silverstone was on Hamilton primarily, he quite clearly took too wide an exit out of the corner for two cars going two wide… quite shocked to see people trying to still put it primarily on Max when the overwhelming consensus from real life drivers was that Hamilton was mostly at fault. Verstappen had given him more than enough room on the inside and Hamilton still tracked out too far because he went into the corner too hot.

That said I don’t think It was a deliberate attempt to screw Verstappen, it was just way too optimistic a move.

FIA/stewards set precedent early on in the season, if there is runoff there is leeway.

Also, some of you in here *really* have a thing against certain drivers/teams
. It really shows your bias. In reality, all the teams are dirty and underhanded and will do anything to argue their side or gain an advantage.

Same is true of the drivers. Favorites get the pass, villains are the devil. What Lewis did to Max at Silverstone was a thousand times worse than getting forced off the road with a huge run-off at (comparatively) low speeds.

So we are clear on my biases....Perez is the driver on the grid I want to see do the best.......I don't like Max, Lewis doesn't float my boat - but I want Honda to leave the sport with a title.
I’m on other discord and slack channels and it’s the same there with these two. Two characters that most have to pick one and absolutely detest both rather than enjoy both. Makes the rivalry all the better.

I agree, Silverstone was 70/30 on Hamilton... but the thing is that it takes two to tango, and an equal part of the reason why it resulted in a big crash is because Verstappen is Verstappen and drove like Lewis wasn't there. There have been numerous incidents this year where had Lewis driven to the same standard as Max, they would have had a big crash. Brazil is just the latest of them.

You can't just drive like an a&&hole and then blame the other party when you are on the receiving end.

What a clunky organisation F1 is.

Met the drivers again yesterday, then need to sleep on it to decide if there is a case to revisit the T4 incident.

Then probably another day to decide.

They really don't want Hamilton winning this, do they?
Essentially saying just forget about overtaking anywhere near a comer cause the car you are trying to overtake can now just come off the racing line and force you off the track.

If bottas had anything about him, if he was ahead of verstappen he could literally allow him to attempt to pass them ram him off the track. But alas he sucks so no help to his teammate at all.

It's ridiculous they deem no significant new evidence was presented.

Oh well, can of worms opened now, seems its open season.

They're basically saying "we can't defend the decision so we're not going to look at it at all and wait for it to blow over."

It really is outrageous. Blatter levels of blatant corruption.

It was pretty obvious they weren’t going to penalise him for it, there was no contact and it ended up having no effect on the race outcome and they don’t tend to give penalties post race for stuff related to driving standards… plus five second post race penalty would be viewed as harsh by them as it would drop him behind Bottas who in reality he could have easily finished 5 seconds ahead of had he known he had a penalty.

Predictable outcome
