Hamilton is really the only one who can hold his head up at Mercedes. They have thrown in the towel. Bottas should be sacked immediately.

They should have put Russell in months ago.

Wolff and Hamilton rightly slating Bottas for that start. Its just basics yet he's so bad he can't do them. He's lucky to have a drive next year at all.

He’s not lucky to have a drive because he’s comfortably better than numerous other drivers currently in F1.

he's already been scked by them so why should he do them any favours?

He wasn’t sacked, he only signed a one year contract extension last season and will see out the entirety of it before going to Alfa. I agree that he probably doesn’t really care much for doing them favours though.

He's quick, but when was the last time he was elbows out defending or aggressively trying to overtake?

I honestly can't remember, he's a massive fanny.

He's accumulated far more podiums and points than his commitment to hard racing deserve.

Mercedes are such a joke. Should have just changed the whole engine in Turkey - absolutely no foresight. They've been absolutely abysmal at maximizing their package this year.

Only chance Lewis has of the Championship now is if Max has a mechanical failure or crashes out in one of the remaining races. And as much as I hope Lewis wins I don’t want it to happen that way.

It's not like they can rely on Bottas to push and press him into making a mistake or even semi-intentionally putting him in a pickle, as he'll be nowhere near him.

For me, this has been their Achilles heel throughout the season: woeful decision making from the strategists and team to the point of negligence.

Maybe it's been negated in previous years due to their pace, which means they've not been pressed into making choices, but this year it's a huge decline.

Hamilton under investigation over some DRS issue. Looking quite possible he gets disqualified and sent to back of grid for the Sprint Race tomorrow.

Then the 5 place grid penalty on top, could well be starting down in 15th(ish) for the main race.

Oh wow. Hope he doesn’t as want this to stay close and go into final race of the season.

But if a strange one this. If the gap with the DRS is wider than allowed it's a massive balls by Merc, but you'd assume it would be the same for both cars?

I saw Verstappen was also summoned to the stewards and I couldn't figure why. I have since seen the video below, shot from distance of him having a quick nosey at it, and maybe even touching it which is a big no no in Parc Ferme.

Penalty for Hamilton, Reprimand for Verstappen.

I thought that. It's all very strange and again potentially looking like the continng saga of Mercedes making the wrong choices.
