Any regulation change is likely to hamper the dominant team most though. Or should I say they have most to lose from any potential change anyhow.

May be true in some cases but when top engineers in the sport as well as technical experts like Scarbs etc were not sure who it would effect worse then I think its safe to say it wasn't designed with the specific intent of hurting Merc.

This is one example of an article pre testing, even mentioned that the initial assumption from some was that it might hurt Red Bull more

Truth is no one was certain what would happen until testing.

Tsunoda was holding firm against Hamilton on the straight with DRS enabled. That Honda is not inferior to Mercedes anymore.

At Silverstone Lewis went for a lower downforce package which is the only reason he was able to close in on Max there.
Mercedes has to run with more downforce due to its aerodynamic inferiority. You are comparing a Newey car to a more powerful, but less well designed, machine.

Only one flaw in your plan here is that AlphaTauri is not a Newey designed machine and I was talking about that car against the Mercedes.

At Silverstone the Mercedes was running less downforce not more.

Just a heads up that if you have a VPN account with someone like Nord etc you can sign up for F1TVs premium coverage which includes all races/race control/live timing/better analysis etc via the F1 app... for only £7-8 a month. Only works if you pretend you're from one of the countries where F1TV is available and you have to connect to the VPN every time you want to watch a race.

We called it ourselves here when Merc pitted Hamilton on lap 47.. we were saying that around lap 51/52 would have been optimal. Looking at the pace advantage he had he could conceivably have left it as late as lap 56/57 imo which would have given him the greatest tyre offset.

Maillet's body was found by the local police in her Luxembourg home, alongside the bodies of her husband and another woman, all three showing gunshot wounds.
According to a statement issued by the public prosecutor, Maillet's husband is believed to have shot and killed both women before committing suicide.
"At 00:10, the bodies of two women and one man were discovered by the police in a house in Gouvy, all three presenting gunshot wounds," the statement said.
"According to our information, the male individual voluntarily used his firearm to kill both women, including his wife, before killing himself."
The Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which Maillet had overseen for the past five years, issued a statement confirming her death and expressing its shock at the tragedy.
"It is with great sadness that the team of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit have been informed of the death of Nathalie Maillet, CEO," read the statement.
"On this very sad day, the whole staff wish to present their most sincere condolences to Nathalie's family and friends.
"The circuit, but also motor racing, has lost today a passionate woman, strong in her convictions and always looking to the future."
