Expectations from our European campaign

Spurs should be shorted odds than us all the way.

The bookies will have been watching us struggle to get past a third bit European team who can pass the ball a bit. The competition has just got harder.

We have a chance to rectify it and get rid of our naiveity in Europa.
 

I just hope we go as far as possible without embarrassment. At best we can win it, no matter what happens this will be a learning curve for the team, up another level!:lol:
 
Let's just get into the K/O and see what happens.

Getting this far is a great experience, but it will be a bitter disappointment if we can't make the top 3 in the group. I think the Larissa game is key. If we fail to win, it will become an uphill struggle in the remaining games. If we win it, we'll just be one win away from a place in the K/O, confidence will be high, and hopefully performances will improve.

In the K/O we are just one of 32 teams, 8 of whom will have qualified for the CL. If we qualify our odds of winning the thing could be worse than they are now ! But if we continue playing 4-4-2 away from home we've always got a chance of nabbing some away goals and putting strong teams under pressure. With so many sudden death games there's a million and one things that can go wrong, sometimes it can just be a bad refereeing decision. So let's just get ourselves to the next stage, then enjoy the ride.

I don't know about 'hell', I think it actually looks quite nice. Although the game itself could be quite a trial ... D'oh! ;) (I know, I haven't woken up, yet).


I think we struck lucky in terms of away venues; I'd prefer Germany and Holland over trips to Russia and Cyprus, that's for sure. Franconian beer and Dutch ... umm ... well, cheese, but you can't have everything. :D

How you mean, we´re all excited....as usually when it comes to the "Club". It´s gonna be a tuff match between two teams with a lot of tradition and history to look back at.
I personally would have prefered to play Everton at Goodison Park. (y)
As far as i know the matches in Nürnberg are allready sold out since we have a incredible high number of season ticket holders. Of course there is a black market but i wouldn´t recommend it. I still could get you a ticket for the Max Morlock Stadium (as we call it). So let me know if you´re serious about it.
Concerning the UK Nürnberg fans, i´m not a part of that group.

yes thanks. You´re right about your away venues. A good draw for you. I can´t think of anything more attractive than an away match in the middle of the russian winter. ;)
