Thanks for that D, will be abusing that page later on in the window!!

Hasn't the transfer window only been open for 4 days?...

Page. 150 Section M Point 2....
2. The first Transfer Window in any year shall commence at midnight on the last day of the Season and shall end on 31st August next if a Working Day or, if not, on the firstWorking Day thereafter, at a time to be determined by the Board.
Posted via Mobile DeviceStrange how that gets said every year. Last summer it was all "Spurs and Villa have spent big and will leave us behind" Last season was arguably our best in your generations lifetime. In that respect, "it's sound". If your already fuming about transfer activity - time to stop refreshing football news websites and get out there and ride a bike or something.
Point was devils - fans are bemoaning how late signings will be, raising valid concerns about players needing time to adapt. A player can not actually join up with a new club until the 1st July - only a few days ago.
The deadline, for me, will be when Moyes takes them to the US.

There are 2 ways of looking at this poll.
Either is is idiotic (how can you make a judgement on transfer activity right at the start of the transfer window when there was never any likelihood of getting players in before now)
Or it is cynically manipulative (set up to produce the desired answer in the hope of triggering off more Kenwright bashing).
I can think of 2 appropriate responses - either to ignore it, or to vote 'excited'.
Surely your answer would be "Dont really care". Its not meant to be a Kenwrong bashing thread. I will make plenty of them later on in the window and they wont have hidden meanings. It was more to see how others are feeling.
Its just a poll, nothing sinister about it, was mainly to see if I was alone in worrying myself sick. I could go out and ride a bike, but I dont have 1. The kids have gone out on a canal trip, so im all alone, with redtube and no football to watch.
Long time reader, first time poster here (sorry it’s a long one)
Owen going to Man Utd has got me thinking about the future of the prem and specifically finances again as this to me is a sign of them tightening their belts.
Although we are actually around 60m in debt according to a previous thread (sorry to start a new one), I have looked at the figures from the Guardian article posted a few months ago and sorted them (far too much time on my hands!). Makes interesting reading when put like this. (even if our reported figure is a little lower than we think it should be)
Debt Team
701m Chelsea
699m Manchester United
416m Arsenal
280m Liverpool
197m Fulham
147m Manchester City
106.2m Newcastle United
93m Middlesbrough
73m Aston Villa
69.2m Sunderland
66.4m Wigan Athletic
65m Tottenham Hotspur
57.7m Portsmouth
52m Bolton Wanderers
39m Everton
36m West Ham United
17m Blackburn Rovers
8.9m West Bromwich Albion
2.3m Stoke City
1m Hull City
Take away the 3 promoted teams last year and then just Blackburn and West Ham have less debt than us.
I know most people’s opinion of BK and I share the frustration of the majority, but we have to give the guy some credit for running a tight ship because if the [Poor language removed] ever does hit the fan with TV rights, we will be in a prime position to survive.
Don’t say it will never happen because history usually repeats itself and what goes up must come down. Setanta has gone under and there are now proposals from Ofcom to regulate the price at which Sky must wholesale its premium channels to other pay-TV platforms (thus potentially giving Sky a major costing headache).
Now I know the rights are tied up till 2013, but Sky has 3 billion worth of current liabilities (5.7bn in total) and made a 127 million loss in FY2008. It is on course for profit this year (we will know very soon), but as more people become unemployed and as people struggle to make ends meet, 36 quid for sky sports may well seem a lot of money and people may start cancelling. People are also wise to streaming online, pubs are shutting left, right and centre, advertising revenues will be down and cash conditions are only going to get a lot tougher for Sky.
I will be amazed if the next TV deal is anywhere near the 1 billion paid for the last one. On top of that, none of the major world stars seem to want to play in the Prem at the mo hence Utd having to sign Owen (Kaka, Benzema, Ribery Ronaldo have snubbed the prem etc). Chelsea and Man City also can’t seem to attract any real big names from outside the prem anymore either! (i.e. Turnbull, Sturridge, Taylor, Santa Cruz etc).
I honestly think we may be witnessing a peak for the premier league as a product. (Remember, what goes up, must come down). It doesn’t matter if we are bought by Sheik Unvac, Sheik Yerbubeez or Sheik Ratlenrol, it is still very difficult to attract top talent to this country as of now.
We may very well get pissed off with BK and get frustrated as hell with the lack of money and big signings, or the fact that we have a wage cap at 50k (I think), or the bullshit we are seemingly fed every year, but through all of this, we are doing it the right way. We have a brilliant manager, a great youth set up and something money can’t buy – team spirit. We keep progressing almost every year and we are the best of the rest and the only ones to close that gap in the recent past.
Regardless of who we bring in this summer, we have so much to be positive about and we are a lot better prepared for the future than most. I think we may bring in around 4 – 5 players this summer and whoever they are, however much they cost, and in however many instalments we are paying for them, let’s get behind them, the rest of the team, the manager and (even) the chairman and remain positive about next season because we are the envy of many clubs that are a lot richer than us.
Just read this on another forum and thought I would put it here;
