Players do develop under unsworth, the problem arises when they start training with the first team, it's then they don't kick on further. That's down to the absolutely rubbish managers we've had, from martinez, koeman, fat sam and silva.

Maybe their just not as good as the hype they get and only when playing with the seniors do you see the difference in ability

I wouldn't say we've had any players getting significant hype as you put it since barkley.
we've had players plenty of people thought should be able to make an impact in the premier league such as Kenny, dowell, davies but only davies so far has done that to any extent.

Both basically asked for dispensation to play the Home Games on the road in a bid to aid the development of the Under-21s players involved.

Wonder if other clubs had asked the same would at have been granted. All the Premier League teams playing away would have been a better idea to give the lower league clubs a little boost in income.

Attendances are shocking for this competition, fans are voting with their feet over the U23 sides being allowed to take part , even though the bulk go out in the groups anyway
