Evertons U18s in Sweden

Gutted I missed the game due to work, sounded like a good match!

Wouldn't get carried away though with the tournament win; the quality of the opposition wasn't the kind you face over here.

But there's lots of positive points to take from the tournament like the team's style and individual performances of players like Duffus, Charsley and Ledson.

This group of U18s only has 1 season together, so we'll see what they can achieve in that time and who makes the step up to the U21s

Out of 6 groups the only teams I've heard of are IFK Gothenberg, River Plate, Helsingborgs and Doncaster Rovers.

As they say though 'you can only beat what's in front of you' and I'm sure the young lads enjoy working with Sheeds and Dunc.

Really, only 4?

I' know 20 of em! The only ones I didn't recognise are ones that are more of Academy's rather than actual football clubs.

Really?? You don't know Vasas Academy Limited, Club America, Kinetic Academy or Right to Dream but you know all the other ones?

I've definitely never heard of Gefle IF, IF FF Hammarby, BK Hacken, Landskrona BoIS, IF Brommapojkarna, ACBB Paris, Santos Laguna, Esbjerg FB or NorrKopoping IFK.

Mjallby AIF, Djurgardens IF, IF Elfsborg are vaguely familiar and I think I only recognise FK Lillehammer and HJK Helsinki because of the place rather than the team.

ha, it was actually the ACBB Paris, Kinetic Academy, Right to dream and FK Lillehammer that I didn't know mate!

I could understand you knowing Club America, as they've probably played in World Club Championships but how would you know Vasas Academy Limited?
 
Right to Dream are fairly well known in youth circles, graduates nearly always end up in Europe somewhere. Man City took 2 recently and if my memory serves right they sent them one on loan to Djurgårdens and another to Belgium somewhere.
