Evertons U18s in Sweden

Jumped aboard just before half-time and must say I'm quite impressed by the youngsters. Quick, tireless and aggressive allround (who wouldn't be if Big Dunc were shouting for you to run more?) plus lots of Baines-ish play down the flanks, especially on the right.

Duffus the older looks like a nice prospect up front. Very quick, tall, strong and usually able to get to a pass before the centre backs. The other goal scorer did a fine job too, center mid I believe he played.

Kind of amusing see Everton take home the trophy in a cup I've played in myself as a young lad too :)

Put together a list of Evertons goalscorers in the tournament:

Courtney Duffus: 7 (1 was in a penalty shootout)
Henry Charsley: 4
Tyrone Duffus: 1
Jonjoe Kenny: 1
Ryan Ledson: 1
Antonee Robinson: 1 (penalty shootout)
Curtis Langton: 1 (penalty shootout)
Gethin Jones: 1 (penalty shootout)

cheers sphinn, not sure we can include pen shootout goals but nice to see a break down regardless. interesting to see non-goalscorers viewed as our better pen takers

Yup, except C. Duffus who was quick to take the penalty he got himself. Composure is a nice thing to have for a forward.

The Duffus Brothers are going to be big for us in a few years time, if they keep developing at this rate.

Obviously no guarantees, and plenty of kids fall by the wayside. By the signs are looking good at this point. Courtney at 16 looks a good player, and the fact that his brother Tyrone at 14 is playing in the same side as him for the under 18s indicates he's got something about him.

Once again I was very impressed with Ryan Ledson. He will become a very good all action midfielder. He's aggressive, very good tackling, awareness, vision, good with the ball, great passing and amazing workrate. Huge talent.

Courtney is 18 in October and Tyrone is 16.
