That he's started for them makes me think he may have already been training with them. He was infood for for the youth sides last year and got a few in the Dallas cup. He seemed promising last year but hasn't really had a sniff this year. Maybe they've seen something to think he won't make it.

Yeah he had a good loan spell there last season, much better than his one at Ipswich. I remember that although he didn't score many he scored a couple of brilliant strikes for them. Very pleased for him , I don't believe he has enough about him to be a PL player but top of League 2 is a great team to be with, certainly capable of helping Donny to promotion.

An interesting fact, and I guess it's as appropriate here as anywhere - Everton are the first team to start two teenagers in a Premier League game this season (Tom Davies & Dominic Calvert-Lewin).

Another youngster, 19, not able to get in the U23s, but maybe if we move a few on in January he'll get his chance. Dyson, Henen, Duffus, Niasse and DCM have all started ahead of him and if we moved the first four on to help further their careers they would be good moves for us and them. Unsy spoke highly of him as a future PL player when he arrived but nothing of note yet.

To be fair, the OS says Duffus has 4 goals in 2 starts and Dyson has 6 in 6 starts so they haven't done badly really.
