This would be literally the worst case scenario but likely a good move for the lad. Hopefully it's a massive wake up call to all those running the club and they actually learn some lessons from it.

Wonder what compo we will get…..….i think it’s something that’s happening to most clubs and to be perfectly honest, i don’t blame these youngsters and their advisors cashing in on demand for them.
The chances of them making it at top levels is not great, I’m sure he’d be guaranteed a professional contract with us but there’ll be serious big bucks on offer for signing elsewhere. I’m sure we do it to other clubs too.

When somebody mentioned Chelsea earlier I was going to post that even Chelsea have problems keeping the RS away from their players eg Ngumoha . “ Join us and we’ll give you an opportunity to play in the first team , if you’re good enough it’s then up to you “ is a powerful attraction to them. It’s annoying that they do it better than most and then make money out of it eg Gannon-Doak but we’re at it too with less success.Liverpool supposedly trying to sign chigwada ffs![]()

I believe we will not be due any compensation as he has deregistered. The standard compo if he has been approached would be around 660kWonder what compo we will get…..
Also wonder if anyone at the FA will look to see if there’s been any inducement…..(not holding my breath)
Should I be surprised that when we were pinched for inducement in 2020, we were fined 5 times more then Them…..

Everton fined, given two-year ban from signing academy players
Everton have been fined £500k by the Premier League and banned from registering some academy players after breaching young player recruitment rules.www.espn.co.uk
He can also play youth league games that we can't offerthey can give loadsa kids FA cup and league cup minutes and still win, whereas we generally struggle even if we change a senior player for another one due to the attitudes of our managers.
we have no selling points for the most talented youngsters.
You’re right. As long as Everton offered him another contract by a set date, they should be entitled to development compensation. Not a lot you can do and we took a keeper off Liverpool last year. And this kid can’t sign a contract untill hes 17,
So city could take him off Liverpool next year

Leave Gordon out of it, besides he was a was long Barca fan.You have to look at the academy as a business. It’s not full of Evertonians like us. It’s full of kids from all over the North West and beyond, including kids who are RS and have parents facebooks/instagrams full of them in proclaiming life long loves of Klopp, Salah and Van Dijk, only to then become the biggest phony Everton fans going.
Are they moving for money, higher quality coaching or a better pathway into the 1st team?
I say this a lot but Chelsea , City (now Liverpool have cottoned on) just hoover them all up and offer them basically a football scholorship.….i think it’s something that’s happening to most clubs and to be perfectly honest, i don’t blame these youngsters and their advisors cashing in on demand for them.

The end game for the young players is not necessarily playing for Liverpool, but it is to get the best coaches and training with the best young players in the country, playing in the best tournaments and having the best exposure to loans etc.
These kids will be happy to move at 16,18 or 21. I see it as abity like how the NBA or NFL are with college players. They graduate and then find there team then
