Pretty sure Dixon had a year left on his contract so looks like we've been especially ruthless with him. No real surprises other than that. Rocco Lambert maybe slightly lucky to be kept on but we do need a body at right back. It's a bit of a shame that Okoronkwo never worked out given we paid a decent wedge to get him from Sunderland.

Given that they weren't mentioned, this probably means that we had and have activated options to keep Sherif and OSS for another year.
Just checked yeah he had a year left

Everton can provide an update on players who are out of contract at the end of this month in line with the Premier League publication of clubs’ retained and released lists.

The Club is continuing to liaise with representatives of Idrissa Gana Gueye over his future, with the midfielder’s existing deal expiring at the end of June.

As confirmed ahead of the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Seamus Coleman has called time on his playing career with Everton after more than 17 years on Merseyside.

The popular defender and captain played 435 matches for the Blues, putting him 10th on the Club’s all-time appearances list, and will now decide the next chapter of his career over the summer.

In the Under-21s, Jacob Beaumont-Clark, Kingsford Boakye, Roman Dixon, Bradley Moonan, Francis Okoronkwo, Tyler Onyango and Reece Welch will leave Everton when their contracts expire at the end of this month.

For the Under-18s, Demi Akarakiri, Melvin Matos and Rocco Lambert have been offered new contracts, while Goodness Gospel-Eze, Louis Poland, Charlie Stewart and Kean Wren will leave the Club upon the expiry of their deals at the end of June. Everton will offer ongoing support to help all players moving on with the next stages of their careers.

Everyone at Everton thanks the departing players for their commitment and service during their time with the Club and wishes them all the best for the future.

No real surprises there I guess.
Thought JBC might get an extension and a chance to go out on loan, but he’s probably pretty far down the list on the depth chart in terms of wingers now.
Also thought that we would have been able to get another club to cough up a few pounds for Dixon considering he was in the first team picture 18mo ago… maybe just doing him a favour to release on a free to somewhere and get him back on track after his injuries.

Pity that Okronkwo never worked out, but he’ll definitely land somewhere comfortably at a league 1 level. Lambert had a real tough time with injuries the past two years, so hopefully club saw something there that will make him a good deputy to Davis.

No real shocks in there at all. More ruthless than usual. Don't hate it, but I do wonder if we are very light for u21s next season
Not much lighter than we were this year, Pita, Olayiwola, Akarakiri will be full timers at U21 next year plus Clarke, Loney, Gardner, Lambert, Matos aging out on the U18s.

Suspect a few of the new lads (Nsangou, Doughty) will be earmarked for early promotion.
…..presume Eli Campbell is still here next season?

Still somehow under contract for another year. Will be a calamity if he’s not sold or loaned out over the summer.
