Would have liked him and another 1 or 2 to have made their u21 debuts at some point. maybe he did and I missed it.

It’s a difficult balance, only 3 2nd years in that team I think , with some u16s, u15s so a very young team. We know how erratic such a mix can be, swinging from defeat to fantastic win match to match. So I guess they’ve concentrated on blending them in at u18s.

With the season coming to a close it won't be long before our retained lists are announced. 18s season ended today and 21s could end as soon as Monday or as late as the end of May.
Charlie Stewart has announced he's leaving. I don't believe he ever signed a pro contract, he was a player that broke into the 18s as a very young U16 so it does highlight how precarious these lads careers are and how we shouldn't necessarily get ahead of ourselves because they play up

Wren is the other one I’m curious about, made his debut a year early but could never really seem to hold down a starting spot. Flashes of excellence but seemed fairly mercurial.
Other interesting one will be Matos. I don’t think he’s signed a pro contract yet but has been getting regular minutes of late and I think made a few u21 appearances?
Thankfully we have a manager who has faith in playing teenagers and is fully behind in making our starting eleven younger.
I think he'd make a decent right-back for the U21's with Finney (if he sticks around).
