But not in other terms? Surely they shouldn't be using our badge if there's no connection.
There is a connection ofcourse but i think the point was just more that it isn't academy players, it's a different group of young lads who are in the college, simply put. They'll benefit from certain coaching/resources etc but they aren't being prepped to being footballers.

Quite the rut our 21s are in. The one win in 7 coming from an absolute gift by the lower Breck keeper. Focus has to be on qualifying for this comp next season now as well
You think its anything to do with Campbell, Patterson and Tamen going on loan. Not the exciting players you yearn for in the youth teams but looked to be the on pitch leaders earlier in the season. Your looking to others to now step up and show character.

Patterson more than the others I'd say. The defence still has Welch and Samuels-Smith in it, though not vocal leaders they are experienced. Patterson seemed to be very vocal when watching him compared to the lads we have currently.

Graham's goals have dried up seems to be the main issue, no striker and a difficulty breaking down a low block.

The young lads in Currently are talented lads but is there fondness of a dribble Killing the forwards and Grahams space. I always noticed Patterson made a lot of regains and looked to play forward early in transition which gives the room in behind. Either that or you need to be patient and pass the ball well in midfield to create space in behind. Taits teams over last couple of seasons have looked more of a threat as counter attacking sides. Always seem to do well against City etc who pass it a lot side to side and play a high line.

Question for people here. I'm going to this event in a couple weeks to see the Dallas academy play Fulham, but also to see this Everton Football College team in the opening game.

What exactly is this team? Is it part of the Everton academy that mostly focuses on education or something? I'm going to go support them regardless but just don't know a ton about the academy set up.

Is this the same as the old Dallas Youth Cup? If so, disappointing because Everton used to send an actual academy team in years past, and I think won the tournament a few years back.

Patterson specifically, because we don’t really have anyone else in the U21 (or at the u18 level really) who plays a similar role (deep lying DM who can distribute and win the ball back). Obviously Akarakiri and Oliyawola have much higher ceilings, but the midfield balance is off if Bates or Gomez is the 3rd man in the mix.

If this Patterson is the Irish lad who has he gone on loan to ? He was a big prospect when he joined with a few clubs interested in him but his potential hasn’t prospered wuthnEverton.

Yes, on loan at Polish second tier club, LKS Lodz. Hasn't got any game time but been on the bench a couple of times.

If his contract is up this summer then it looks like he’ll be moving on and if a second tier Polish club were the only ones interested in him then it looks like he could be heading back to Ireland.

Contracted until June 2027, another year . He could develop further in 18 months but my expectations would be he’ll end up in League 2 or League 1 , similar to Jenson Metcalfe and Charlie Whitaker . He’ll earn a better living there than in N Ireland if that’s what he wants , but it shows just how hard itcan be for promising youngsters with talent , it’s difficult to make the Championship let alone the Premier League.
