Everton Youth Teams Thread

Pains me to say it but if he were a RS he would already be in and around their first team,no chance here with Moyes I'm afraid just not in his make up,I'd have him at least on the bench v Man U,the kid would be buzzing.👍
I was thinking the same thing before the game , sadly it’s not just the manager , the RS model is get them onto the bench , then into first team , as young as they can . It attracts young players from elsewhere, if they don’t make it sell them for £20 mill.

Robert’s goal:

This is the goal that Southern/Tate should be talking to Moyes about as they’ve got Graham doing this so well . He plays 11 but he’s not a winger who will go wide and cross the ball in the air for a 6ft 5in striker , virtually every time he drives at defenders, cutting inside , getting into the box and either shoots or cuts it back low for others. Somebody needs to be working out how we can develop him to do this at PL standard and give him the opportunity.

Hope I'm proved wrong but can see both Graham and Akarakiri looking to leave
Akarakiri may as he’s not signed a deal and is a London lad.
Graham has been here a few years and when he first came over,
Before he signed he loved it at Everton and could have easily gone elsewhere. He’s trained with the first team
And Been on the bench,
Why he want to leave? I’d have him getting his debut at the end of tne
Season, once we have nothin to play

Honestly feel kinda bad for Ipswich there. Looked the better team for 3/4 of the game then just absolutely ran out of gas.

Not the best game we’ve seen from Graham but he came alive at the end. Small detail but I really liked seeing him stick up for Poland and get stuck in during the scuffle on the sideline.

McEvely seems to have a bit of early Stones about him. Great at stepping up into the midfield to play the ball and drive from the back line, but zero situational awareness of when to stay back. Hopefully that comes with time.

Both centre halves definitely prefer to play the ball than just take a safety first option. The balance needs to be improved on in training. It’s all well you can pass decently but if you aren’t tracking attackers you’re never going pro at centre half.
