Everton Youth Teams Thread

I'm actually shell shocked they've tweeted this out

Interesting that Gawel is included there as it was reported he had signed for Luton… maybe a pre contract for next year.

Does the staff not rate Eze at all? He can’t seem to get a start at any level. Davidson was the starter for the U15 tournament in Cyrus a month back or so. Great to see him get a game but I figured this would have been Ezes tournie to shine. Maybe a pretty heavy rotation for the amount of games played in a week and a half.

Aduda is a striker, Mceveley is a big CB who has a pre contract signed for the season after next. Pemberton is a big ginger (we have a type, dont we) holding midfielder from Wales who’s been with the system for a while. Amushan is a forward who I think is Nigeria eligible but don’t know much about him other than that. Don’t really recognize any of the other names we haven’t spoken about before

Thanks for that info. I’m thinking that if Dawid Gawel has signed for Luton then it suggests we’ve not offered him a Scholarship as we tell them early to allow trials with or signing for another club.

Yeah just thought it was interesting that he would still go on the trip if he’s moving over the summer, as opposed to giving the slot to someone who would still be in the system next year. For ex; where is the lad Shea Pita?

I thought we had an n.i international around that age group too, Freddie murdock?

…I should know the answer to this because I knew him as a lad but is McEveley related to James McEveley. West Derby youngster who was with us as at one time but played for Blackburn and Scotland?

Think he was two years below me at Bluecoat. If it’s the same guy he was in the mad year where Bluecoat offered a place to every Liverpool Schoolboys player. Naughtiest year ever. Kev Nolan was the most successful of them.

….Cardinal Heenan schoolboy I’m quite sure as I watched him plenty back then (same team as Sean Doherty who also signed for us. Coached by Neil Dewsnip who recently left Plymouth).

I think with Thelwell gone we will see more and more of these subordinate positions going to mate.

Quietly we are seeing changes operationally, which gives us a sneeze of the pace of change behind the scenes - it was Vaughan last week and this guy this week.
This guy is probably our best backroom team member mate, he has a record for bringing through young talent, it was a coup to get him in the first place and I think this is a loss myself. I'm hoping the academy section gets a proper rebuild, we will need to see.
