Good talent, wish we weren’t a bag of sh.. and kids could get minutes when we were comfortable.

Think of all of our youngsters if anyone makes the grade it might be him.

He's got something about him, raw but can certainly finish.

He’s a lot closer than Dixon/Armstrong physically.

I like Armstrongs physicality. He just looks like he's been dumped in the middle and given no instruction at all tonight.

Yep reminds me a bit of Wharton with his body shape. Hopefully he fills out and gets a bit more bite to his game.

Benjamin pounces for our goal, after their goalie passes to him , he looked quite decent tonight what I saw.
Tierney at fault for 3rd goal , Leban the 4th but made a great save

These are league one and the step up is immense.

Everyone’s been caning me in the Dixon thread for defending him not playing but this is why. We haven’t got any standout young players unfortunately. I would say Sherif is the closest and he’s nowhere near.

Indeed. The difference between Butler playing against men was huge, compared to Dixon also stepping up which is even bigger.

He’s lucky he missed last night’s u21 carnage, Tait’s defensive tactics were inept , Tierney in particular was way out of his depth, all admittedly against one of the strongest squads in League 1. You’d presume that Moonan is now in prime position, and he’ll be training regularly with the 1st team, learning far more than he would under Tait, while still getting minutes at u21 .

Moonan is hands down (IMO) the best CB in the academy right now. Needs to get back playing.

Dyche picking effectively only 7 subs today. He really is damaging the academy with that sort of behaviour. No real surprises the only youth player he brought through at Burnley in a decade was dwight mcneil.
