Everton Youth Teams Thread

Don’t think anything has gone out officially but I’ve got a mate at Thistle and he reckons it was all signed and sealed for this summer months ago so barring a very unexpected last minute hitch he’s coming.
Given Ceiran Loney’s age, 16, he’ll likely be announced in the forthcoming “ Meet the New Scholars” for 24/25 . With his size and red hair at least he’s one we won’t have trouble picking out. While Benjamin will go into the u21s, I imagine him and Braiden Graham will start off with the u18s to adapt to their new surroundings. If they’ve got talent my expectation would be starting at u21 sometime this season.

Yeah, agree with all that. Certainly with Graham and Loney they’ve got minutes at first team level at a very young age (albeit much lower level) so there may be some hope of accelerating but we’ll see how they go with the 18s.

I know Loney was doing very well for Thistle 18s at 15 (he’s just turned 16) and he has the physical stature to play older but the gap between Thistle and Everton 18s will be more than enough for starters. Good to see more competition at these levels though.

As much as I like people being moved forwards I don't want them leapfrogging Ebere & Sherif because then you're just unnecessarily hampering 2 players' development.
