I was thinking the same, the comparisons with Price are the obvious one , at the same stage (u18) without injury Price was a regular starter at u21. Players like Metcalfe make watching the u21s enjoyable, wondering if they can progress further while knowing the numbers who go from our Academy to first team are so few. There‘s not many games left but I think he’s going to make an impact this season at u21.

Am I right in saying that these College teams are just Football BTEC students and are not actually academy players ?

So decent players working towards a qualification in sport

I know lots of clubs do them, Fylde, Chorley, FC UNited, Man United.

Southampton have been extremely aggressive getting kids in 16-19 but how much is down to their head of youth recruitment vs their first team head of recruitment?

They had a good crop with Ballard Dibling and and JJ Morgan anyway but just curious how he fits

They've had a lot of turnover recently at head of first team recruitment. Joe Shields had been there for a very short time and then he left for Chelsea not long after he'd arrived there

They have but its been their MO from before him as Small getting taken and Livramento predates him.
