Cannon was not exactly over the moon with the goal not passing to him, Cannon for me seems more of a player that plays for himself so much of the time i watch these play, Dobbin on the other hand is a player that is a team player

Agree, still can't figure out why Lampard hasn't even played him as a sub in the league.

Indeed. Every so often Cannon scores a cracking goal but not enough of them.

Astley is a wonderful captain at this level . I just wonder what we are planning for him , clearly way down the order behind Branthwaite and Welch in Lampards eyes

Tbf, their skill levels are also way apart. I could see Cannon having a career in non-League football (the classic 'oh he used to be on Everton's books' player), whereas Dobbin has a chance of making it into PL contention if he continues his progress.

Cannon is terrible imo, I'd be cutting him loose this summer
