You can actually play 5 over age players as well but these 2 will do fine. When Simms is fit it will be good for him as well.

Exactly this, a few other clubs are doing it now as well.

Brighton for example, have bought the 2 best under 16s from 2 NW clubs in the last couple of months and moved them down south.

What do you think they are doing others arent mate? Pathways? Packages? Better recruiters?

It makes sense to play them both . They are both eligible, as are all our current u23 s, it provides game time for those two , adds experience to a young team, it’s against older , league opponents, and may help us to progress further .

There was a comment last Friday by Ebbrell along the lines of they’ve got 8 games in 24 days or something similar , maybe my numbers are wrong, but they may stick a couple of overage players in to give them game time like Begovic and Davies , and reduce strain on the youngsters.

Should be done. Need to keep players sharp and avoiding running others into the ground. Imagine if they were keeping James back for tonight!

That's a good call. I think if the schedule is that busy every resource and option should be explored.
