Beth Mead leaving Arsenal at the end of the season. Would Everton have a chance of attracting this level of player?

We tried to sign her in November/December. But she wanted to wait till now. We also tried for Chloe Kelly 3 times in Jan plus 3 times previously to name some i said on here

It seems like she is going to City to be with her other half anyway. It was always due to be the North West she was moving too

Interesting! Was there ever actually any chance of us signing Mead or Kelly? Do you think we'll go in for similar level of players in the Summer? Squad definitely needs some serious investment to get even close to top 4.

Who Knows what we do. We are waiting to put people in place in the background before certain things even get looked at. One thing is players wanted to sign because of Sorensen and they were lined up till he was sacked. He was not sacked because of results either despite it looking that way

Appreciate the background - thing #1 on my list is a top quality and known manager - we must have that role well-filled or speculation about actually strengthening squad with name players is just silliness.

(I'm sure we could get Jean-Luc Vasseur for cheap, but I am guessing that'd be a no-go.)

Jean-Luc Vasseur was sacked because a certain player from back then went to the top and wanted him gone. that was the Thursday. We played the cup game v Huddersfield the Sunday and he was gone the Tuesday think it was

I was trying to make that as a sarcastic comment. Don't want him back and it seems his career as a mgr has continued it's downward trend.

I know. Just saying why he went so quick as it was not the training he was gone so fast for. It was because of that player went to the top

deffo manager needed who knows womens game for respect in the game and scouting. Heard Izzy Christiansen being discussed. And a chap called Cushing who’s worked for Man City women and is an evertonian.
Will be interesting to see which players are waving goodbye to the fans on Saturday . Will probably be loads of positions on the field to sort out as usual

We are not and have never been after him - It may change in future though, But he's been unhappy since he has been there. As for Izzy, she is a fans fav and works for Man City and off course sky at present
