Rooney looked knackered last 30 minutes. Martina got a nosebleed whenever he got the ball one on one and can't defend at all. Couple of times he did whip a ball in they were good quality. Klaasen, was good. Rooney was good first half. Keane was class. Williams still looks a mess. Sandro was lively and made some good runs. Deffo need to get a creative and another striker. Rooney can't play up top on his own but we knew that anyway. Shame lookman didn't get more minutes. Lucky to get a win tbh. Early doors and we have more players incoming yet.

Poor performance, managed to limp out with the clean sheet which is the most important thing.

Bright spots were Klaasen and Sandro overall. Koeman would be mental not to start with the formation we had when Sandro came on second half for the second leg. But without Martina, who... well.

We just played a team who were playing out of their skins in the biggest game of their careers, whilst we cruised in first gear and pre season mode.

Trying to make out we couldn't beat them until Townsend pointed out we have, then switched to them getting the moral victory. What an utter bell.

We were crap. Simple as. 1-0 at home in a cup tie is fine but that wasn't good at all.

They were very organised and we are still a bit rusty. They won't defend like that at home and we'll tear them to pieces on the break. I'm not in the slightest bit worried.
