To be honest, we're better off drawing Liverpool or United in the next round (providing they get through) rather than say Hull. I honestly think we're more likely to get a result against a bigger team. Its just the way Everton role. Bizarre, but true.

No glossing over tonight's performance it was lack lustre and at times extremely poor.
I think for the first time I have seen RM lose his cool with a referee, i think this showed the first signs of pressure affecting him
We can pick positives and that there were spells in the game were we looked a team capable of opening them up, and this was with good passing and pace. We got some good game time for a few players most notably KM, who worked hard and showed glimpses of what he is capable of. Also the first 3 penalties taken by the kids in the team, which shows the confidence and the belief the manager has in them.

Overall a win is a win, so got to be happy

Let's hope this is the wake up call RM and the team need, as getting beat would of had a great crowd turning on them

Finally well in Joel, you stepped up and has given RM a serious problem

Having been constipated for 18 hours or so............ I was going to take a laxative this evening. However .... after watching that........ there was no need. Everton......... bringing more SH**e back in to my life.

...what problem?...Martinez won't drop Howard...ever

We need to get some more goals from somewhere. McCarthy, Barry, deulofeu, Lennon, kone, mirallas just don't score enough..will Barkley/Naismith / lukaku score enough to win us enough games? For all of osman's faults in his prime he would weigh in with some important goals. Drawn a blank four times in the prem this year so far...needs to improve.

Good sensible post that mate. Theres cracks, there's lot that need improving but we are through. I noticed that as well regarding the age of the first 3 players taking the pens and I dint fancy one of them to score after tonight's performance and they proved me wrong lol
