Think I read somewhere Newcastle hasn't won away from home so far this season....
We'll despatch them. 2-0, T-Baz's first goals for the club.Think I read somewhere Newcastle hasn't won away from home so far this season....
Not saying we are world beaters but just cant see how newcastle are favourites with the bookies for this one. They have a poor away record this season, they have lost their main striker (Isak). They just played 2 games in quick succession so more fatigue and less recovery time. They dont have wingers of as high standard as we do. Yes slightly better striker but the rest of the team is much of a muchness.
Surely with home advantage you would say yes its close on paper but Everton are more likely to win.
They’ve won one game away in 7 months, and that was at the mighty Union St Gilloise last month.Think I read somewhere Newcastle hasn't won away from home so far this season....
I hate hearing facts like that on a run up to a game. Just like the striker that hasn`t scored for 18 months, the centre half that has never scored in 10 ten years then bags the winner. The commentator on Sky was just after saying that we are the only team not to have conceded from a set piece just as Spurs set up to score their first from a corner against us a few weeks back.Think I read somewhere Newcastle hasn't won away from home so far this season....
This is my concern, Moyes obviously doesn’t fancy jo’b too much at rb hence starting seamus and garner there recently. Harvey Barnes will be well up for this. Myko will have Murphy’s number on the left hand side but it’s the right that is a concernReal shame we won't be able to go back to Garner at RB, that was going to be the move for home games where possible I think.
Newcastle have been genuinely great defensively, going to be tough to break down, O'Brien at RB will make that a lot tougher. Time for some magic from Grealish again!
When they said on Monday that zirksee had never scored for Utd I feared the worstI hate hearing facts like that on a run up to a game. I mean, ”slightly better striker” is an understatement. He has 4 in 9 in the league . Our 2 strikers have 1 in 12 between them. Not saying we are world beaters but just cant see how newcastle are favourites with the bookies for this one. This is what worrys me.I mean, ”slightly better striker” is an understatement. He has 4 in 9 in the league . Our 2 strikers have 1 in 12 between them.
The worry for us, is their pace and physicality. Our midfield is fairly slight, however Tim will help with that, but they are going to need to be fairly quick on the ball with sharp passing.
And now Gordon’s fit, they have pace in him and Barnes, and our defence is notoriously slow.
We should be favourites based on home advantage and their poor away form. Ndiaye up against burn should be where we target.
