Sorry to disagree pal but speak to any Sheff Utd fan and they will tell you that he's much better at CB and RB.

However I can see Moyes grooming him to replace Carsley.

Jesus, I think thats the first normal post I've seen from you Chico!

He did play most of last season at CB and RB so you're probably right. Also think you're spot on about Moyes grooming him as Carsleys replacement and seeing as we're well covered at CB and RB for now, I hope he carries on as CM/DM (RB, CB, DM, CM...feel like I'm playing FM now!). :D

i wont give a prediction for this game as im still far from convinced that our team have the ability or players currently to beat even the most average of prem teams.

too many players are out injured.

too many players are just are not performing but still get picked.

too many players are just are not good enough but still get picked.

our strength in depth looks good enough on paper . in reality its shambolic.

balance , ability , the middle , out wide , first choice and back up , the midfeild is a complete shambles.
only arteta cahill and gravesen are worth a piss in this area of the team.
the rest wont look out of place lining up for the likes of derby or worse.

ok sod it , i will give a prediction of sorts.

a very very unimpressive 1-0 win to everton .......at best.
a 2-0 win to boro.downing and cattermole to get the goals...at worst

edit ps. neville and jags are defenders not bloody midfeilders.

OK.... so anywhere from a win to them, a draw, or a narrow win to us and you will consider yourself correct?

Do you have a bookie? Can i use him?

Regardless, McFadden HAS to start this match. His form has been too good to keep him out of the side or to use him as a sub.

Now who you sit for him is a problem but then that's why they pay Moyes the big bucks, to make those kinds of decisions.

I'd keep AJ on the bench one more match knowing you can bring him on if need be.

i reckon he will drop aj . 3-0 is his excuse . in truth , he should do the same to tony hibbert , and do the kid a favour before he really does become the next david unsworth . id also bring stubbs back , ( theyve no pace down the middle ) , move lescott to left back , and put bainsey left midfield . hes got the best left foot at the club , and esp while arteta is still out . full backs , weve got loads of , decent wide midfielders is anotha matter . oh , and why wasnt kissock given 10 mins last nite ?? is he gonna be another leon , where we wait 4 yrs just to decide if hes good enough ?? similar tale with vidarrsson , and , for that matter , the goalies . no wonder turner drops one vs the mancs when hes like a rabbit-in-headlights coz hes never [Poor language removed] played before . i dunno , suppose you cant have it all ways , but if they cant get a sniff in this comp , will they ever ?? oh , and i heard the same about jags . rb/ch only . nice one . lcab (y)

I reckon he'll stick with McFadden and Yakubu up front.

If were not winning with twenty mins left then the crowd will be screaming for Andy Johnson. Thats what we do.

I agree. What's more I can already hear the familiar comments about someone scoring against his former club. After what the Yak's team mates said about him being lazy I can quite easily see him sticking three past them! (y) (y) (y)

Agree Pete, can only go two ways:

1 - He plays ace and scores against them. They cry into their six fingered hands.

2 - He plays gash and they mock us. We're not bothered as Vaughan is the tits.

I believe Hibbert and Valente are struggling with injuries, so in one respect a bonus. Faddy to start, got a couple of goals and deserves some continuity.

We willy winky will win. I can feel it in me water.

I can smell a 2 niller coming on. It smells like freshly mown grass with a hint of bleach.

Jags to get his first and then Osman will smash one in off Southgate's conk. And yes, I know he doesn't play anymore; he will be standing at the halfway line with his snozzle wafting in the breeze, looking like a pointier version of that monster in Creep. Osman volleys it and hits him square in the face "Ow." said the pointy man "Sorry" says the small fella. "No worries." replies Southgate as the ball hits the back of the net.
He's got a right big nose and it can't half hit a ball.

Pandemonium!

Through to the last 16 of the league Cup...................... correct

Beat Borro................................................................

Qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Cup.................

One down, two to go, eight days that will either put us in the dumps or make us swell with pride, can we do it?, [Poor language removed] dead right we can.

Cool a bit positiveness! Lets make sure this Sunday we re- kick start our season!

Mido and tuncay available for selection, Woodgate and O'neill too.

"woodgate returns following a groin niggle" apparently. Strange turn of phrase.....
