impressive so far, staying solid, slowing it down in the heat and taking the chances when they come instead of trying to force the issue

Ergo, you need service. Do you think Cahill would notch so many if we didn't have Baines, for example?

And if you replaced a creative player like Ossie with Cahill, then you'd have one less player to provide the spark.

I honestly can't believe the stuff you're coming out with tonight, as despite us disagreeing a lot in the past you've always come across as knowledgeable and intelligent. But this "put all your best players on FFS. It doesn't mater what position!" approach is borderline comical.

Every other player in the side had the same opportunity to capitalise on Baines' deliveries, but they didn't. I agree that we lack creativity, but we also need end product. Cahill is a match-winner. If you think that we've got enough of those to be able to jettison him, then I think it's your judgement that should be questioned.
 
Barkley looks a real player. Question is will this end in tears when he does a 'Rooney' on us. Let's hope he has a sensible head on his shoulders and stays with us for a few years atleast
