Went Sigurdsson, all the players did well today but he grafted all game. No reason why we can't set up the same way at Stoke next week.
Great to see Tosun get another well taken goal and even Keane was much improved. Show Knockeart the Pit of Misery Dilly Dilly!

Good day to celebrate at last against a poor Brighton side. Great to see Baines and Coleman at full back again. A consistent weakness is Davies who is full of energy but otherwise clueless. He needs sorting out somewhere away from the first team. Bolassie was about to be substituted after making a hash of everything until hey presto it all turned right for him. Delighted for Tosun, and pleased with the change of formation with Siggy showing his class and industry in a central position. A relegation scrap is no longer a shadow hanging over us. The only down side was Sam talking confidently about preparation for next season. He should go with a pay cheque and our thanks and best wishes for his retirement. Will the board be ruthless enough to do this?

Pickford. 6. Had nothing to do.
Coleman. 6. Quiet but solid game. Will be fully fit for next game.
Jagielka. 6. Solid game.
Keane. 5. Did ok, but some very very poor passing particularly in the first half.
Baines. 7. Very solid comeback. Even got himself an assist.
Rooney. 7. Penalty aside, had a very good game.
Davies. 5. Thought he was very poor, it's a shame we have so little competition in midfield. Maybe Klaassen should be given a go.
Sigurdsson. 6. Looked tidy and all of his corners were very good, just very poor of the rest of the team to not take advantage of that.
Bolasie. 4. Thought he was appalling, but thankfully Bong turned Bolasie's cross into their goal for our opener. He had a bright 10 minute spell in the second half, but that's hardly good enough for a 27m footballer.
Walcott. 7. Very good indeed, he's a superb player.
Tosun. 7. Very promising, looks settled. Great header last week, top finish this week.

Ha does someone hate bolasie?

Cenk for making Allardyce swallow his “not ready” rubbish. He was a constant threat, has a great first touch and has shown top level finishing the last two games.
Sigurdsson is a quality act....with the right players around him he’ll be worth every penny of the big cheque we paid for him, and his work rate is outstanding compared to most top flight players too.
Coleman....simply give the lad the armband.
