Does anyone have any proof that game was fixed ?
Have heard lots of stories and know all about the coach hotel stuff
But is there anything else or was it just a good comeback

An unbelievable comeback mate.
And unbelievable that they would leave their unattended coach at the front of the Lord Daresbury hotel overnight before a game like that and with a large 'Wimbledon FC' badge on it.

Barry Horne scoring a screamer from 25 yards, this proves it wasnt fixed, if he had 20 attempts he couldnt repeat it.
Hans Segers tho ......

T
....I don't remember it being legally proven but my own personal view is that a number of players were affecting the results of games around that time. I have previously posted comments made to me many years ago about the famous Derby match that ended 4-4. Watching that back, it does make you wonder.
hats what I was thinking as well mate some serious money could be made on these comebacks

Lots of activity in the stadium at half time in dressing room etc
The Stuart goal well dodgey the keeper Jumped away from the ball then back to try and save it..

Call lawyer for advise

What were the derby stories mate ?

...I have posted before following advice from the Mods but I was at a cricket match some 20 years ago with an old chap who was well known on the after dinner speaking circuit. Lovely man, massive Evertonian. Out of the blue he asked I'd I'd ever been to a bent game, he said not Wimbledon but the 4-4.

He was in the VIP lounge after the game when he was told a number of Liverpool players were 'at it'. The goalkeeper was later involved court cases but if you look back at our goals they are suspicious. The other thing about that game is that Dalglish resigned a few days later. I won't mention names but watch our goals again.

If u were gonna throw a game, why would you take a 2 goal lead? We scored an Own Goal from Ablett and a deliberate hand ball from Limpar for the pen... You could almost level that our players were trying to throw it the other way.

I was at the game though, and honestly, although it was too long ago and too mental for me to remember the details, from memory, we didn't only have 3 shots on goal. In the 2nd half, we were on top and the atmosphere was mental, especially given we had a whole side of the ground missing.

Segers has taken loads of stick over the years, but he was investigated at the time and cleared of any match fixing, but mud sticks. The thing is, noone is saving Horne's goal and penalties are rarely saved. Stuart's goal might be soft, but again, from memory, we were putting them under a lot of pressure, and these things happen. It's easy to say it was let in, but he hit it early and it bobbled all the way in, and bounced over his hand. Pitches even then we're nowhere near as good as they are now.

Its funny, but nowadays, they wouldn't say he was fixing it, they'd just say he was [Poor language removed], because of course, goalkeepers save every shot at them regularly.
