I’m really struggling to see what Beto offers at Prem level, beyond the “he runs around a lot and looks strong” shouts.

When we have the ball anywhere near the opposition box, he’s never looking to find space, lose his defender, or show the guile and skill needed at Prem level.

The ball played through, for him to run on to, (and be caught offside) is going to be so easily sussed and stopped, this season.

His goals to minutes ratio in the Premier league is very good.

We could have Haaland, Van Nistrlrooy or fat Ronaldo up top and still struggle. Problem is that we are chronic at holding the ball and most importantly doing something productive with the thing.
