I’d be disappointed with a draw against west ham. This result stinks.

Last year of Martinez, Koeman, Sam and now silva there is obviously something toxic amongst the playing staff, that's 4 managers all with different styles yet the players continue to look like they don't care.

well we finished eighth last season and are currently 10th

The annoying thing is a defeat was expected because it's what we do .
I think we older fans would have been more suprised if we won.
It's to early to want heads to roll imo.
More negatives than positives from today's game tbh.

The defeat wasn't expected. That's why we're annoyed.

We know that the team can play better than it did today. It was a poor performance.

Were you at the Southampton game? We were hanging on.

We’ve been poor in every single game. Wolves we looked alright, but the defensive frailties reared their head that game. That should’ve been the warning.

Apart from Bournemouth and Rotherham, I've being covering every Everton game this season. So yes, I watched Southampton. No, we weren't hanging on. We had an iffy spell after they scored and then controlled the game for the last 15 minutes, with Walcott having squandered a sitter and us having had a perfectly good third goal ruled out.

However, the whole situation (i.e. the season on a whole) isn't as bad as some doomsayers on here would have you believe.

Not even angry about this anymore. Players aren't arsed why should we be. Been like this since Martinez year 2.
If the stadium goes to the wayside, it'll be the straw that broke all but the most insane blues camel's back.

They were far better than us.

We missed three of the clear chances we created. We made bad mistakes at the other end and were punished. We can't make those mistakes.

It was huge defensive errors from us though that made their chances real sitters. They never had to do very much. Just weak and fragile defending with no one taking command and too much looking around for others to do the work. It wasn't just a system, it was atrocious individual errors from Holgate Zouma and Pickford on goal 2.

2 stupid goals conceded and 3 big chances missed. Still poor but some positives. Bernard looks like a class act and Digne and siggy good for me .. Cenk struggling , gana and snides no use and still problems in central defence . Need to get Mina in and get a look at Gomez .. not a great start to the season but nowhere near as bad as last year ... yet !

Yes, it was really poor. Started well but one mistake and they were in and then we started panicking. The midfield was non-existent and they took their chances. We created some great chances we didn't put away but if we'd have got anything from today we'd have been very lucky.
