I ignored it personally, and said this on Tuesday.

... because West Ham were dire on the day. We had to do well in games like Chelsea to eradicate shocking games against the likes of Burnley to have a chance of doing anything of note this season.

We haven't, and it reaffirms my previous view - the season in competitive terms ended at Burnley. The squad isn't good or deep enough, and that transfer window has hurt us this season and will probably have a lingering effect for seasons to come.
