At least that was away, and early in the season. I remember under Martinez we played Sunderland at home, who were bottom and effectively dead and buried. If we won we would have gone top 3 or 4. We lost.
Shuddering at thought of it happening again. We in the past, never took golden opportunities.Let's hope those days are gone.

Same team as Sunday for sure.

Digne i imagine will be the back up Cb with JJK or Niels coming on if needs be.

Virginia,
Niels
JJK
Bernard
Gordon
Siggy
Kean

thats the bench I'd go with, but Davies guaranteed to be on it.

This was the league table going into that game. 1 loss in 17 matches and lost that!

Remember last season when we could have gone top for a brief period.Friday night Aston Villa away and got spanked.Let's hope those days are gone.

Thats nothing. I remember getting spanked 6-2 at villa when we could have gone top in 89 i think. On live TV aswell. In that awful stripey pyjama kit. I think david platt had a field day.
Real cringe stuff.

Spot on this for me.

Absolute pleasure to have competition in the squad as well as a very solid first XI for the first time in my memory. Gordon will be itching to come on and score.
