on this thread I see a mixture of trepidation , positive expectations mixed into it uncertainty !

Silva has to get the line up spot on with this one. First home game of the season and we need to start scoring some goals and winning games. If he dares to start with DCL after last week we might as well give up already.

Watford will want to go at us, after their poor result last weekend. So I say we start with Iwobi and Kean and exploit the gaps that'll appear at the back, as they do.

However, you just know we'll start with the same 11 as last week, with the same lack of finishing in front of goal.

JPG will most likely get the start with Delph and Gomes out injured and Schniederlin getting the red. If he does though I can see Goodison becoming a toxic place for him if he has a couple bad moments. Really hoping he doesn’t get the start and that Adeniran starts as it’d be the same risk level at the moment but the youngster would get more slack with the fans.

Did you watch the game last week? Not sure its possible to start the same 11.

So you’re suggesting not starting our new £25m midfielder out of fear of the Goodison crowd turning on him but suggesting playing an U23 player with ZERO first team experience in a Premier League game?

You ever been to Goodison? Interested to know where this idea that the place will become toxic for a new player making his first home start comes from.
